While most people dread the shrill ring of their morning alarms, for Katie Piper the start of the day can't come soon enough.

The TV presenter, 40, detailed her morning routine on Loose Women on Monday leaving her co-stars, Kaye Adams, 61, Coleen Nolan, 59, and Brenda Edwards, 55, in complete shock.

Katie said she wakes up early as she likes to exercise before work and her daughters Belle, 10, and Penelope, six, who she shares with husband Richard Sutton, don't like lying in.

She explained: 'I get up at 4am and I exercise before I go to work, me and my neighbour go running when we wake up, if you lay in I can't get to sleep the next night.'

Coleen was left shocked, she said: 'At 4am in the dark you go running!'

The TV presenter, 40, detailed her bizarre morning routine leaving her co-stars Kaye Adams, 61, Coleen Nolan, 59, and Brenda Edwards , 55, in complete shock

Katie continued: 'The latest I could lay in at this present time because my youngest is only six is max 8am because that is the latest she will sleep.

'Usual day if I'm coming into work at Loose Women, we have to be here by 8:30am and the journey for me is an hour and a half.

'So I would meet my friend at 5:45 to go running and then I would shower, change, sort the children's bits out and so on.'

The ITV panel were left in shocked by Katie's morning routine and poked fun that she would need to go to bed now the show was ending.

Kaye said: 'Well we need to go now it's time or Katie to go to bed. Night night Katie.'

However viewers commended Katie for her 'focus' to wake up early and some agreed that they can't sleep in all morning.

Taking to X they wrote: 'I hate lying in bed in the morning, if I'm awake I get up. I don't need to get up for anything these days but I still get up at 6am';

'Why did that come across as slight bullying of Katie Piper, are the others jealous perhaps of Katie's focus'.

While Katie's unusual morning routine may have raised eyebrows with her fellow panellists, it's nothing compared to some other stars.

In February, British MasterChef star Gregg Wallace was mocked for sharing his seemingly parodical Saturday schedule.

Yet even that's nothing compared to the weird and wacky routines of the rich and the famous A-list stars.

Mark Wahlberg famously wakes up at 2.30am to fit in his morning workout, while Elle Macpherson opts for a 5am alarm in order to squeeze in her morning meditation.

Elle Macpherson
With the nickname of the 'The Body', it's hardly surprising that Elle Macpherson's daily routine centres around health and wellness.

When the alarm goes off at 5am the first thing that Elle does is 'smile', coincidentally it's also the last thing she does before she goes to bed.

After grinning and reaching for a water and lime, Elle dedicates 25 minutes of her morning to meditating in bed ' to take care of her 'mind body and spirit'. before jumping on her bike and cycling to the beach for a 6.30am swim.

If time is short then Elle stays closer to home, explaining: 'I'll get outside and put my feet on the earth to ground. I do some yoga in the morning sun or Dr Zach's Four Minute Workout to stimulate nitric oxide.

'Sometimes I'll go for a cold plunge afterwards followed by a matcha in the sunshine before getting ready for my day.'

The mother-of-two always chooses to exercise outside and in nature by hiking, biking, swimming or 'simply sitting in the fresh air and sunshine'.

She said she has no set schedule when it comes to exercise and prefers to 'go with the flow' and swears by regular sessions in her infrared sauna as well as a cold plunge to 'reset'.

To 'be at (her) best', the age-defying model takes a range of supplements, teas and elixirs from her own wellness brand WelleCo

To wind down in the evening, Elle again likes to relax in the sauna then take a dip in cold water which she says is 'great for detoxing, immune boosting, lymphatic support and relaxation'

She then adds a collagen elixir to her morning smoothie and takes gut support and protein supplements to help with her nutrition.

A 'big believer in energy healing', Elle revealed she books regular appointments for acupuncture, chiropractic, breath work and sound healing as well as Russian Banyas, an ancient tradition of steam bathing with a wood stove burning dry tree or herb branches called veniks.

Elle adheres to a plant-based diet and prefers homemade meals made 'with love' so her lunch will be made using locally grown and organic veggies, handpicked from her local farmer's market.

An 'essential' part of Elle's day and to beat the 3pm slump is to perform an East Asian tea ceremony with her favourites being Rooibos tea in vanilla and earl grey.

To 'be at (her) best', the age-defying model then takes a range of supplements and elixirs from her own wellness brand WelleCo.

She said she takes care of her skin and body by juicing up to four times a day, dry body brushing, and following a $1,400 skincare routine from Dr Barbara Sturm.

Elle uses a dry body brush up to three times a week 'to stimulate circulation and lymphatic drainage, clear my system of any toxins, and exfoliate my body for smooth, soft skin'.

To wind down in the evening, Elle again likes to relax in the sauna then take a dip in cold water which she says is 'great for detoxing, immune boosting, lymphatic support and relaxation'.

One of her favourite weeknight dinners is miso mushroom soup with Japanese sweet potato.

Her nightly ritual then involves drinking a cup of WelleCo calming Tea and the last thing she does before sleeping is, of course: 'Smile. Put my hands on my solar plexus, think about what I'm grateful for that day, and drift into a peaceful sleep.'

British actor Orlando Bloom unwittingly became the focus of international amusement in 2021 after giving fans a glimpse into his incredibly lavish California lifestyle.

In a cringeworthy interview with The Sunday Times, he revealed his day starts at 6.30am, when he monitors his 'readiness' to wake up via his sleep-tracking smart ring app, before checking in on his baby girl while fiancée Katy Perry enjoys a 'lie-in'.

Speaking about his mornings with his daughter, Orlando shared: 'Daisy's a very happy baby. I'll kiss her and we'll spend some time connecting.

'I'll do eye-gazing with her and sing songs, "Daddy loves his Daisy Dove", so she knows who Daddy is. My son's first word was "Mama", but Daisy said "Dadda". It's amazing to be a father again.'

Orlando, who also shares son Flynn, 13, with ex-wife Miranda Kerr, enthused about feeling 'less anxious and more present' the second time round.

The TV and film star also revealed he tries to avoid his phone in the early hours as he 'doesn't want to be sucked into the black hole of social media.'

The hunk also keeps busy by working on his Amazon projects, building Lego cars, exercising for an hour and 'dreaming about [screen] roles for minorities and women'

The father-of-two went on to claim he 'likes to earn' his breakfast, so will mix 'brain octane oil, protein, green and collagen powders' together before going on a hike.

His first meal consists of 'porridge, hazelnut milk, cinnamon, vanilla paste, goji berries, a vegan protein powder and a cup of PG Tips', and he'll also make breakfast for his son - who splits time between his home and Miranda's $16M LA mansion.

The Canterbury native is '90 per cent plant-based' and eats red meat only once a month, declaring: 'I look at a cow and think, that's the most beautiful thing ever. At some point we'll look back and not be able to believe we ate meat.'

'I'll have a shower and get dressed. I like to make an effort. No tracksuit bottoms. Lunch is mostly plant-based again... I will cook at times but otherwise there's a team of people. Then I'll have a Zoom and read scripts', Orlando went on.

The Retaliation star ends his day by putting their Daisy to bed and watching a film during dinner, before heading to bed by 11.

It's no secret that wellness guru Gwyneth Paltrow prioritises her health and fitness on a daily basis.

So the Oscar winning actress adheres to a dedicated schedule, which typically starts bright and early with a 6.30am tongue scraping session using a Boka Rasana Stainless Steel Tongue Cleaner and then oil pulling, in which you swish minty-herby coconut oil around your mouth for a minimum of five minutes (10 is better) before she brushes her teeth.

At 6:45, she and husband Brad Falchuck meditate for 20 minutes. The couple practise Transcendental Meditation, a form of silent meditation developed by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

Following this is a gruelling workout with celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson.

After a daily sweat session, the mother-of-two generally enjoys some time alone in a private sauna while sipping celery juice and reading a book.

Then she admits to 'feeling detoxed, a little lightheaded and very red in the face.'

'I always followed up with a nice outdoor shower, which is one of my favorite places in the home house my shower is full of clean beauty products,' she explained.

Gwyneth follows an 'intermittent fast' diet that sees her drink just a cup of coffee in the morning then eat around midday.

She explained: 'I really like soup for lunch. I have bone broth for lunch a lot of the days...

'And then I dry brush and I get in the sauna. So I do my infrared sauna for 30 minutes and then for dinner I try to eat according to paleo - so lots of vegetables.

'It's really important for me to support my detox.'

Gwyneth takes a bath every night with smelling salts while she unwinds listening to music by the likes of Kacey Musgraves and Taylor Swift.

By 9pm she's in bed with Brad and the pair typically treat themselves to a murder show or foreign crime programme before going to sleep.

She credits Myotape sleep strips with giving her the 'best quality sleep' because they allow her to breathe through her nose during the night before waking up.

Mark Wahlberg

Mark Wahlberg sent the internet into meltdown when he unveiled his very unusual schedule in 2018, revealing his day starts at 2:30am and ends at 7:30pm.

On the former rapper's check list were two major workouts that lasted more than an hour, two showers, snacks and meals, a cryo chamber recovery, golf and business meetings, in a routine that has baffled his fans.

He revealed it all begin sat 2:30am when his alarm goes off. Next it's a prayer session. Then the action star has breakfast at 3:15am, his first meal of many throughout the day.

He previously told Men's Health that he likes to start his day with egg whites, sprouted-grain Ezekiel bread, almond butter and avocado.

From 3:40am until 5:15am he has a serious workout session that includes weight lifting.

Mark's 10 million Instagram followers will already know about his early workouts as he often shares videos of his gym sessions under the hashtag #4amclub.

At 5:30am it's a workout meal and then a shower at 6am, which bizarrely appears to last for 90 minutes.

By 7:30am the Shooter actor is playing golf, which could be considered another workout, but only for 30 minutes as a snack follows at 8am.

Next it's a cryo chamber session.

in 2022 Mark revealed he'd made some tweaks to his schedule, sharing his new, 'dialed-down' daily regime that involves sleeping in — until just 3.30am

Mark previously told Ellen DeGeneres about the benefits of cryotherapy, saying: 'It is great for recovery, and it just takes all the inflammation out of your body [and] it helps you sleep.'

At 10:30am, when most people in Hollywood are just getting to work, Mark eats again then he takes business calls.

He also has family time, which must be challenging as all his kids are in school at this point.

At 2pm he has more meetings and work calls. At 3pm he picks up his kids at school then has another snack.

At 4pm it's time for his second workout of the day. It lasts until 5pm at which point he takes a shower.

Dinner and family time comes at 5:30pm and then at 7:30pm he goes to sleep.

However, in 2022 Mark revealed he'd made some tweaks to his schedule, sharing his new, 'dialed-down' daily regime that involves sleeping in — until just 3.30am.

The A-lister added he is no longer eating oats, peanut butter, blueberries and eggs for breakfast instead fasting for 18 hours a day.

She may it look easy but it's hard work to become the world's most successful 'momager'.

So Kris Jenner ensures she gets a head start by kicking off her day at 4.30am, ensuring she has a coffee and catches up on her emails before getting in some cardio.

She explained: 'I hop on the treadmill, turn on the news, get caught up with what is going on.

'So I feel like I've done my cardio, I'm prepared mentally, emotionally and physically to go and tackle a day.

'Be informed about what is going on in the world, be informed about what is going on with my kids.

'If I can be on that treadmill for 45 minutes to an hour, that is golden. Do a few weights, hop off, shower, glam, film, you know, it's like I have this routine in the morning.'

She added: 'I think as human beings we thrive off routine. I think that routines are very important for people to have.'

A creature of habit, Kris shared: 'I have the same thing for lunch almost every day which is, I go in like, I get on something and that lasts for a couple of months'

Breakfast is usually a smoothie made with water, ice, protein powder, berries, half a banana, protein powder and almond butter.

Geared up for the day and already awake for four hours, she then gets into the office by 9am.

While she may be in constant contact with her famous children, she doesn't allow herself to fall behind on anything, revealing: 'I probably look at my family schedule and my personal schedule about once an hour.'

A creature of habit, Kris shared: 'I have the same thing for lunch almost every day which is, I go in like, I get on something and that lasts for a couple of months.'

Although she spends all day dealing with her family business, she still can't wait to hear from them when she returns home for the evening.

Typically FaceTiming her children and grandchildren as part of her 'winding down' routine she also treats herself to vodka as she relaxes.

Yet she doesn't ever fully switch off, with Kris confessing: 'I think if I go to sleep. I'm working in my sleep, so I'm always thinking about something.'

Bed time is roughly 10.30pm as Kris likes to get six to seven hours sleep. She reasoned: 'I used to go on four to five, but the older I get, the more sleep I need.'

Cindy Crawford

Cindy Crawford begins her day with a 6.30am alarm, allowing herself time to check over her emails and enjoy a green tea before getting in her morning exercise in her home gym

Cindy Crawford begins her day with a 6.30am alarm, allowing herself time to check over her emails and enjoy a green tea before getting in her morning exercise in her home gym.

First up is 10 minutes in the outdoor Jacuzzi for a mini 'meditation' before 20 minutes of cardio, 10 on the Bellicon trampoline, and 10 running stairs.

By 8am it's time for another green tea before breakfast with husband Rande and their children Presley and Kaia.

It's yet more liquids for her first meal of the day, however, with breakfast typically a smoothie made with almond milk, spinach, fresh mint, two scoops of Billy Merritt's Infinity Greens, and protein powder.

Blessed with natural beauty, it doesn't take long for Cindy to get ready for the day afterwards, explaining her hair takes just five minutes and a measly three-minutes for her makeup.

By 10:30am Cindy is either traveling, on a shoot, or working from her home office, but she ensures she squeezes in at least one visit to her Meaningful Beauty office in  a week.

Lunch comes at 1pm and is usually a salmon and kale salad.

Cindy explained: 'I try to eat good food 80 percent of the time, but I'm not perfect and it's too much work trying to be.

'Mid-morning, I'll stop by Starbucks and get a green tea latte. I also drink three bottles of water during the day, except for when I'm on location, as the bathroom could be 10 minutes away.'

The afternoon is then spent answering e-mails and approving photos, copy, and packaging.

Cindy is typically home and ensures she washes her face the second she gets in 'because otherwise the family are like, "Who are you?"'

Then it's time for another soak in the Jacuzzi before prepping dinner.

She shared: 'When I cook it's simple: grilled fish, rice, asparagus, and mango salsa. I can't handle wine anymore; the sulfites make me puffy.

'We only drink tequila in our house, as my husband started a tequila company, Casamigos. And we always have music on. Rande has a great playlist of classic rock, country, new music and old.'

By 10.30 she's tucked up in bed to go through social media or catch up on reading, bit she confessed: 'usually after five minutes, my eyes are closed.'

Gregg Wallace

While he may not be as well known as the Hollywood stars previously mentioned, Gregg Wallace left Brits baffled this week when he lifted the lid on his usual weekend antics

While he may not be as well known as the Hollywood stars previously mentioned, Gregg Wallace left Brits baffled this week when he lifted the lid on his usual weekend antics for The Telegraph's My Saturday column, explaining how he fills his day between his early wakeup and 8pm bedtime.

Revealing he doesn't indulge in a weekend lie-in, Gregg kicks off his day at 5am, reading for an hour - currently A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles - before making himself a cup of coffee and checking the sign-up numbers for his health programme.

There's no more time to rest, however, as he has to stick to his five day a week workout regime, revealing he has persuaded staff to open the gym half an hour early for him every weekend so he can enjoy a private swim and sauna.

Once members of the public start arriving (at the correct time) Gregg makes a beeline for the treadmills where he works towards his 50,000 steps a week goal but insists there's 'no sweating.'

He noted: 'I'm now 12 stone [having lost five stone] and I have less than 18 per cent body fat and a six-pack, but I have a belly that bloats. I guess we all have our imperfections.'

Having worked up an appetite, but not a sweat, next on the to-do list is breakfast, with Gregg meeting his PA at the local Harvester for breakfast - which consists of bacon, sausage and fried egg.

While he admitted people are often surprised to see him in the budget chain restaurant, he has 'never been disappointed' by the food, and is particularly fond of the grilled chicken and salad bar.

In contrast, he noted he has been let down by the food on offer at several three-star Michelin restaurants around Europe.

Seemingly blessed with a high metabolism, lunch comes just an hour and a half after his fry up, with Gregg's wife Anna, 38, ensuring lunch is on the table when he arrives home at midday

During breakfast, talk turns to business with his PA as they juggle his MasterChef filming, well-being business and new health and well-being podcast, A Piece of Cake.

Speaking about his new healthy living podcast, Gregg mused: 'I love chatting to the experts, but I'm quite the expert too, having been journalling, manifesting, goal-setting and reading self-help books for years.'

Seemingly blessed with a high metabolism, lunch comes just an hour and a half after his fry up, with Gregg's wife Anna, 38, ensuring food is on the table when he arrives home at midday.

After lunch comes quality time with his four-year-old son, Sid, who's non-verbal autistic but has 'started to seek company and show eye contact.'

Speaking candidly about his relationship with his youngest child, Gregg - who has two adult children Tom, 29, and Libby, 26, with his ex-wife Denise - shared: 'I'm a much better father now I'm older, although another child isn't something that I would have chosen at my age.

'I was always very honest with Anna, but it's what she wanted and I love her. I just requested two things - that we had help in the house (so her mum moved in), and secondly that we had at least one week a year when we holidayed just the two of us.'

After an hour and a half of quality time with Sid, Gregg then indulges in two hours of me-time.

As an 'amateur historian' and video game fan, he likes to lock himself away in his home office at 3pm playing Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia, set in 878 AD.

After leading the Norsemen, Saxons, and Gaels to victory he then sets about preparing dinner for his family.

The restaurateur and former greengrocer revealed Anna takes on the main kitchen duties as he cooks for his family just once a week, typically a grilled fish dish from the fishmonger.

He's also partial to making his own 'healthy' cheeseburgers, as takeaways are banned after his health overhaul.

Alcohol is also restricted, with Gregg drinking twice a week, typically starting off with a pint, then a wine, then a whisky or brandy, but ensures he doesn't 'drink excessively any more.'

After his long day comes an early bed time of 8pm, where he and Anna will either read or watch a film on his laptop because Gregg 'tried sitting on the sofa eating biscuits' but didn't find it 'fulfilling'.

Sleep typically comes by 9pm.
